William Lee Porter Sr., 82, died July 16, 1995.
Mr. Porter was a farmer for over 50 years and was born in Bath County, Va. He was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey B. Porter; a daughter, Edith Porter Byrnes of Richmond; two sons, William L. Porter Jr. of Princeton, N.J., and James R. Porter Sr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jane Porter Sutton of Williamsburg, Va.; and nine grandchildren, James R. Porter Jr., Melissa Porter and Clinton Porter, all of Virginia Beach, William Joseph Byrnes IV of Richmond, Meredith Porter Byrnes of Richmond; Jonathan Byrnes of Richmond, Robin L. Porter of Princeton, William Marshall Porter of Princeton, and Kimberly Teitelbaum of Princeton.
A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday by Dr. Ed Garrett in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will recieve friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
