David Morris Smith, David Eric Smith and Amy Leigh Smith died July 17, 1995 in Chesapeake, Va.

David Morris Smith, 40, a native of Birmingham, Ala., was a claims adjuster with the U.S. F&G Insurance Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk.

His survivors include his wife, Kimberly Butler Smith; his parents, Jack Morris Smith and June Frost Smith both of Birmingham; a brother and sister-in-law, Kirk and Lynn Smith; a niece Jenna Smith and two nephews, Ben and Brad Smith all of Birmingham.

David Eric Smith, 15, was born in Birmingham. He was a 10th grader at Indian River High School where he was an academic honor student. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk.

Eric is survived by his mother Kimberly B. Smith; paternal grandparents, Jack and June Smith; his maternal grandfather, James F. Butler of Gadsden, Ala.; his uncle and aunt, Kirk and Lynn Smith; and cousins Jenna, Ben and Brad.

Amy Leigh Smith, 13, was born in Montgomery, Ala. She was an 8th grade student at Crestwood Middle School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and its "Sound Foundations" youth choir.

Amy is survived by her mother Kimberly B. Smith; paternal grandparents, Jack and June Smith; her maternal grandfather James F. Butler; her uncle and aunt, Kirk and Lynn Smith; and cousins Jenna, Ben and Brad.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Ala. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.
