Eugene ``Gene'' Marvin Hooker III, 68, of the 2900 block of Dunkirk Ave., died July 18, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Hooker was born in Norfolk and was a retired Junior Engineer of NOAA. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pauline R. Hooker; two daughters, Victoria L. Kortge of Portsmouth and Jennie L. Foster of Virginia Beach; two sons, Lou ``Happy'' Hooker of Virginia Beach and E. M. Hooker 4th of Norfolk; mother, Virginia Q. Danner of Norfolk; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Mark Deleuze in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Place of burial is Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at 2912 Dunkirk Avenue, Norfolk. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
