William Lee Porter Sr., 82, died July 16, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Porter was born in Bath County, Va. He was a farmer for more than 50 years and a member of Haygood United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey B. Porter; a daughter, Edith Porter Byrnes of Richmond, Va.; two sons, William L. Porter Jr. of Princeton, N.J., and James R. Porter Sr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jane Porter Sutton of Waynesboro, Va.; nine grandchildren, James R. Porter Jr., Melissa Porter and Clinton Porter, all of Virginia Beach, William Joseph Byrnes, IV, Meredith Porter Byrnes and Jonathan Byrnes, all of Richmond, and Robin M. Porter, William Marshall Porter and Kimberly Teitelbaum, all of Princeton, N.J.
A funeral will be conducted at noon today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Dr. Ed Garrett. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
