Elizabeth Mackey Simmons, of the 4600 block of Stonebridge Lane, died July 16, 1995, at Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mrs. Simmons was born in Norfolk. She was a teacher in the Southampton County public school system, was a member of First Baptist Church Berkley and was the widow of William Simmons.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Davis of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.; a brother, Deacon Orman Mackey Sr. of Norfolk; a nephew, Orman Mackey Jr. of Virginia Beach; and two nieces, Vernice Mackey of Norfolk and Joyce Murray of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday at First Baptist Church, Berkley by Eldress Gloria Townes. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements by Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk chapel. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. She will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional.
