Robert Harold Black, 73, died July 15, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Black was a native of Indianapolis, Ind. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, and VFW Post 993-Cradock. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II and Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn K. Black; one son, Don Black of Portsmouth; two sisters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Arlington National Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arragements.
