Park Place residents will hold a neighborhood celebration at 2 p.m. Friday at 535 W. 28th St.
The event, highlighted by several speeches, will be at the site of a new house being contructed by the non-profit Park Place Redevelopment Foundation.
It's the first house built by the foundation since the late 1980s, said Nelson White, executive director.
The activities also will celebrate the City Council's June 13 approval of amendments to improve the Park Place neighborhood conservation plan, White said.
The foundation, the Park Place Civic League and the Park Place Community Development Corp. are sponsoring the event. by CNB
