AUCTION

The first Jason Ryan Anderson Memorial Auto Auction will be held at Harbor Park on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until all the cars have been sold.

More than 150 cars will be auctioned. All proceeds from the event will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Refreshments will be available.

Jason Anderson, a Virginia Beach resident who died of leukemia at age 11, was an outpatient at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. His father, Andy Anderson, owner of Action Auction Services, developed the plan for the auction to thank St. Jude's for the help and support his son received. Anderson persuaded Tom Barton, owner of Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, to donate a new car for the auction.
