MARGARET M. PETTIT

Margaret M. Pettit, 82, died July 18, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

She was a native of Vandermeer, N.C., and was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Unit (NU)60. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Norfolk Servicemen's Club and worked in Real Estate. She was also the former owner of Jim's Gallery Restaurant in Norfolk and was Episcopalian.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Pettit; one daughter, Phyllis C. Haar of Virginia Beach; and one grandson, Alex Haar of Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the daughter's residence.
