BEULAH F. SCOTT

Beulah Flowers Scott, of the 2800 block of Wesley Road, died July 19, 1995, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the widow of the late Charles H. Scott and the daughter of the late George B. Flowers and Bertie Brite Flowers. She was born on February 25, 1921, in Florence, N.C.

She is survived by five loving children, all from Chesapeake; Sybil S. Morgan, Robert C. Scott, Patsy J. Scott, Peggy J. Scott, and Judy M. Scott. ``Nanny'' also left behind four loving granddaughters, Susan M. Scott of Norfolk, Christine S. Wheatley of Virginia Beach, Brenda M. Bishop of Kodiak, Alaska, and Linda M. Bradshaw of Suffolk. Also left behind is her greatest joy, her great-grandson Dylan Scott Bishop. She is also survived by her sister, Rosa Dough of Manteo, N.C.; and 12 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jack Scott, Josephine Lankford, Grace Hensley and Arnold Hensley of Rose Hill, Va., Lawrence R. and Emma Scott of Jonesville, Va., Harvey and Ruth Scott of Burke, Va., Earl and Helen Hensley of Brooksville, Fla., and Sam and Opalee Scott of Macon, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scott retired in 1969 from Chesapeake Public Schools where she worked at Kirk-Cone Rehabilitation Center having worked there for ten years. Her love of children allowed her the opportunity to care for several children in her home from 1976 to 1983. She was active in the Parks and Recreation Ceramic programs at both Outlaw and Bowers Hill.

The graveside service will be Saturday, July 22, 1995 at 11 a.m. in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Roscoe A. Musslewhite. The family will receive friends at Twiford Colonial Chapel on Friday, July 21, 1995, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scott Memorial Scholarship in care of Sybil S. Morgan, Deep Creek High School, 2900 Margaret Booker Drive, Chesapeake, Va. 23323.

Mrs. Scott was loved by all. Her life and personality was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a resident of the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake for 43 years. She was a member of Stonewall Church of Christ, Stonewall, N.C. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and we will never forget her, but remember her with laughter and love, along with the cherished memories we shared together.
