It's hard to believe, but it's almost time for The Beacon's
annual Back To School issue. What does back to school mean to you?
If you're a student age 5 to 18 who lives in Virginia Beach, draw us
a picture and show us. We're looking for kid art to feature in our
special edition. Drawings should be in color - crayons, markers,
colored pencils, etc. They should be at least 8 1/2 by 11 inches. On
the back, write your name, age, school, grade you'll enter in
September, address, home phone number, a parent's daytime phone
number and your parents' names. Turn your artwork into the Beacon
News Department, 4565 Virginia Beach Blvd., by 5 p.m. Aug. 11. The
winner's art will be displayed in color on the Beacon cover, and a
photograph of the young artist will run inside The Beacon.
