WILLIAM E. TREECE

William ``Bill'' E. Treece, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous fight with cancer on July 19, 1995.

Mr. Treece was retired from the U.S. Air Force and from the Defense Contractor Audit Agency with the Dept. of Defense. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was born in Dover, Ark. He was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dr. Wendy Treece; two daughters, Christina A. Treece and Lisa J. Treece, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, William R. Treece of San Bernardino, Calif., and Michael L. Treece of Vaccaville, Calif.; one sister, Marie Terrell of Valrico, Fla.; and three brothers, Walter Treece of Phoenix, Ariz., Bob Treece of Knoxville, Tenn., and Joe Treece of Paragould, Ark.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Ed Garrett in Haygood United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
