Roy W. Askew, 80, died July 19, 1995 in Greensboro.
Mr. Askew was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was the widower of Irene Askew. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired.
He is survived by his two sisters, Georgetta Wright of Covington, Ky., and Naomi Lee of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Providence Baptist Church, Greensboro. Place of burial is Maplewood Cemetery, Greensboro. Brown's Funeral Home, Greensboro, in charge. Information provided by Fisher Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
