Art Lavender spent two years customizing his candy tangerine Honda

Civic. He removed the door handles and corrugated the side panels,

added a sliding ragtop and installed hydraulics to lower the car to

the ground with the push of a button.

This crushed velvet interior is in the Volkswagen GTI owned by

Jeremy Estes, 18.

Matt Bogar, right, admires David Barlow's 1990 Isuzu pickup that

features a walk-through. Both the cab and the bed of the pickup have

been cut to create a passage.
