``A DEADLY DEED''

I recently received my bimonthly Disabled American Veterans magazine and I would like to go on record as stating that this 104th Congress has indeed a Contract With America and it's a deadly ``deed'' to a vast body of American women and children in our once-blessed America.

According to the information in the DAV publication, this Congress is contemplating cutting more than $7 billion from Virginia's annual budget, which goes to financially assist the widows and children of dead warriors and the maimed, blinded and mentally destroyed in the recent wars.

If those who gave up their young lives to the totalitarian powers of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were to awaken, what would be their reaction to this contract?
