Viola Spivey Griffin, 87, of the 3000 block of Cumberland Parkway, died July 20, 1995, in Hillhaven Nursing Home.
She was a native of Greenwood, S.C., and was the widow of Edwin R. Griffin. She was a member of Jordan Memorial Baptist Church in Greenwood and was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Edna G. Gunnells of Greenwood, S.C.; two sons, James R. Griffin of Virginia Beach and Clarence O. Griffin of Indonesia; one sister, Leona S. Cobb of Greenwood, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The body was forwarded from Maestas Funeral Home Chapel to Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, S.C., for a funeral service and burial.
