MARGARET C. FLOYD

Mrs. Albert O. Floyd, 71, a Virginia native, retired Virginia Beach City Public Schools secretary, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and servant of God, went to live with her maker July 19, 1995.

Margaret Julia Curling ``Marge'' Floyd was born in Norfolk County, daughter of Margaret Culpepper Todd and Clyde E. Curling. She was the widow of Albert O. FLoyd Sr. who preceded her into heaven by 11 days. She served the Virginia Beach City Public Schools as secretary at Pembroke Elementary School for 14 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Virginia Beach Association of Education Office Professional.

Her committment to God was evident by sending her children to a Christian high school and college and setting an example of trusting in God in sickness and health. She was very active at Aragona Church of Christ until her illness and had served for many years as church clerk and librarian.

Survivors include her children, Albert O. ``Bert'' Floyd Jr., 40, and his wife, Mary of Atlanta, Ga., Margaret F. ``Meg'' Wolfred, 37, of Virginia Beach; her mother, Margaret C. Todd, 95, of Chesapeake; a brother, William D. Todd III and his wife, Connie of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Ashley K. Floyd and Jason T. Floyd of Atlanta, and Bejamin B. Wolfred of Virginia Beach. Also remaining are an aunt, two nieces, one nephew and several cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at Aragona Church of Christ, 517 N. Withcduck Road, at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 1995., by Minister William Campbell. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Aragona Church of Christ Building Fund. Visitation with the family will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
