BACK BAY REFUGE MANAGER

John P. Stasko, a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, has been named manager of Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Stasko most recently served as director of the National Wildlife Visitor Center in Laurel, Md., which he helped design and build. Before taking that post in 1994, he served as refuge manager at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel.

Stasko will begin work Monday at the 7,732-acre Back Bay refuge, which serves more than 300 species of birds during the peak migration season each December. by CNB
