ANOTHER 70 readers called in to add their names - and goals - to the Fitness Quest.
One Norfolk reader's goal is to get his body fat down to 18 percent, run a six-minute mile and enter a marathon. A woman in Virginia Beach wants to be fit and trim as ``the mother of the bride in September 1996.'' A Chesapeake woman says her goal is to take it ``25 pounds at time.''
Nearly 600 have pledged their support and bodies to our six-month Fitness Quest. It's still not too late to join. Just call 640-5555 and press BFIT(2348). You can also call our BFIT line to get information on nutrition or find out how others are doing.
Each week 10 people who join the Fitness Quest are chosen at random to receive a ``Go For Fit'' T-shirt. This week's winners are: Jonathan Becraft, Virginia Beach; Sara Holland, Virginia Beach; Kenneth Hudson, Norfolk; Jackie Norris, Chesapeake; Analise Scalee, Virginia Beach; Mary Spellman, Chesapeake; Tanya Trezvantte, Newport News; Jeanette Tyler, Suffolk; Stephanie West, Virginia Beach; and Debby Wilson, Virginia Beach.
You can order a T-shirt by sending your name, address, shirt size and check or money order for $10.45 to Fitness T-Shirt, The Virginian-Pilot, P.O. Box 1978, Norfolk, Va. 23501. by CNB
