CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Lost or stolen, 2400 block Cole Ave., July 7, someone reports that his front license plate was lost or stolen.

Armed robbery, College Drive and Magnolia Drive, July 8, two men approached a driver while his vehicle was stopped at a traffic sign. One man aimed a handgun at the victim's face while the other removed an equalizer and an AM/FM radio from the dash. Both suspects fled on foot.

Petty larceny, 6000 block College Drive, July 11, a black Murray 18-speed, 24-inch bicycle was removed from the front porch of a house.

DISTRICT B

Grand larceny, 2800 block Pruden Blvd., July 6, someone removed a yellow and white, 88 GMC tractor semi. The truck was parked in a lot beside a hotel. Entry was gained through a passenger door vent window.

DISTRICT C

Armed robbery, 300 block South Wellons St., July 8, the victims report that four men occupying a white Suzuki Samurai with white rims and a cloth top, approached them as they were walking down the street. The men exited the car, displaying an Uzi automatic weapon, and then took $235 in currency from one victim and $25 in currency and a house key from another. They then drove away.

Armed robbery, Ashley Drive, July 8, while walking down the street, a man was approached by three men who robbed him at gunpoint, taking $250 in currency and one blue Motorola pager. The suspects then fled on foot.

DISTRICT D

Grand larceny, 300 block Mulberry St., July 8, someone entered a house while the victim was asleep and removed a black shoulder bag containg $240 in currency, a NationsBank checkbook and several ID cards.

Trespassing, 1000 block Cogic Square, July 8, someone gained entry to a house by forcing the air conditioner to the left side of the window. The suspect was seen, identified and then fled the scene.

Armed robbery, Pinner and Bank streets, July 9, while walking down the street, a man was approached by three men exiting a vehicle who robbed him at gunpoint, taking his wallet, jewelry, sneakers, and a twenty-dollar bill.

Petty larceny, 1000 Lake Kennedy Drive, July 7, someone reports that both inspection stickers were removed from vehicles parked on the driveway.

Assault and battery, 1200 block Sierra Drive, July 9, a woman was assaulted by a man.

Petty larceny, 100 block Oak St., July 9, a woman reports that she returned to her vehicle to discover her Virginia state inspection sticker had been stolen.

Shooting at motor vehicle, 300 block Finney Ave., July 10, someone fired a 12 gauge single-shot, sawed-off shotgun at an occupied car.

Armed robbery, South 6th Street, July 10, a woman reports that she was robbed at gunpoint while walking down the street.

Breaking and entering, 1000 block Portsmouth Blvd., July 10, someone entered a business by going through a bathroom ceiling. Once inside the ceiling area, the back room ceiling was kicked in and entered. Two Earthquake stereo amps, a Sanyo 6-disc CD changer and a Motorola Memo Express pager was removed. Total value of items was $1,000.

Petty larceny, 100 block South 6th St., July 11, someone entered a vehicle and removed a Virginia state inspection sticker.

Petty larceny, 300 block Oak St., July 11, someone entered a vehicle and removed a Virginia state inspection sticker.

Petty larceny, 500 block Roosevelt Drive, July 11, someone removed a red and black, 24-inch bicycle from a residence.

Grand larceny, 1400 block Wilroy Road, July 11, someone entered a shed and removed a black, 85 three-wheeler Honda bike.

Grand larceny, 300 block York St., July 12, someone removed a Panasonic CD player valued at $260.

Grand larceny, 900 block Portsmouth Blvd., July 12, someone removed a Motorola car phone from a vehicle.

Breaking and entering, 300 block County St., July 12, someone entered a church by kicking open the front door where an attempt was made to remove an air conditioner by prying several boards from a wall where the unit was secured. Other rooms were entered and property was damaged. The lock was broken on the floor freezer and the door left open, leaving the contents to spoil. Estimated damage was $250.

DISTRICT E

Breaking and entering, 6000 block Holland Road, July 10, someone broke into a business by breaking a rear window. The interior was vandalized.

DISTRICT F

Petty larceny, 100 block Gene Ave., July 10, a trailer license plate was removed.

Motor vehicle theft, 1900 block Holland Road, July 10, someone removed a red 89 Chevy Spectrum hatchback without permission. by CNB
