Charles Clabron ``Shep'' Shepherd, 86, died July 21, 1995 in his residence.
Mr. Shepherd was born in Portsmouth. He was former part-owner of National Printing Co. in Portsmouth, former owner of VA Boat and Yacht Service and Restaurant in Portsmouth, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge BPOE (NU)82, Tidal Wave Masonic Lodge (NU)273 for 50 years, AFAM, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, Beazley Senior Citizens, Port Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge (NU)898. He was a former volunteer at the DAV center in Portsmouth for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey G. Shepherd; a daughter, Gail S. Mullen of Tuman, Guam; a sister, Frances Copeland of Portsmouth; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Leslie M. Drake and Lorenz Drake of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Jason W. Shepherd of Suffolk; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Fanney of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Scott M. Rimer. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
