HYPOCRITICAL HELMS

Jesse Helms obviously engaged in the ``deliberate, disgusting, revolting conduct'' of gross overeating and habitual sloth. This is the main reason he eventually required a quadruple bypass and valve replacement. Expensive medical procedures saved Helms from the wanton sabotage of his own health, but they could not save Ryan White from his fate, nor can they save others five years after his death.

Anyone can get AIDS. It takes unmitigated gall and stupidity for Helms, saved from a preventable disease, to withhold hope from those stricken by AIDS, no matter how they were stricken. People infected because they failed to restrain themselves from risky sexual behavior deserve the same chance to survive as a guy who failed to eat sensibly and get some exercise.

The only way Jesse Helms can make a bigger ass of himself is to gain more weight.
