Donald D. Ambrose Sr., 75, of the 4000 block of Wyndybraw Dr., died July 23, 1995, in a hospital.
He was a native of Edenton, N.C., and was a retired welder with Shop (NU)26 of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha G. Ambrose; three daughters, Cynthia Ambrose of Portsmouth, Becky Ware and Sandra Pusateri, both of Chesapeake; three sons, Donald G. Ambrose Jr. of North Carolina, Ray Ambrose of Newport News and David Ambrose of Chesapeake; one brother, Ernest Ambrose of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two step-daughters, Nancy Hales of Portsmouth and Wanda Hagood of Moulton, Ala.; three step-sons, Phillip Church, Danny King and John King, all of Portsmouth; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
