SAILORS RACE FOR HOSPICE

Twenty-two boats raced around a diamond-shaped course two miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge Saturday for the 10th Annual Dare Hospice Regatta.

The event raised $2,305 for the Dare Hospice through boat entry fees and sponsors. The winning sailors:

Second place: Jon Britt

Third place: Peter Ferguson

Catamarans

First place: Erick Weinzapfel, Hobie 16

Second place: William Shelton, Hobie 16

Third place: Brian Flanagan, Hobie 16
