JEFF JENKINS CO-CHAIR OF ANNUAL BEER-TASTING BENEFIT

Jeff Jenkins and 2,000 other beer lovers will be in brewery heaven Saturday.

For the second year, Jenkins is one of the co-chairmen of the annual beer-tasting benefit at the Virginia Beach Center for the Arts, an outdoor gala that promises nearly 40 different micro-brews and imported beers. (There'll also be blues music and barbecue.)

Organizing the event is an appropriate job for Jenkins. ``I definitely drink beer,'' he said. Out of all the alcoholic beverages, ``beer is the only one I drink.''

A veteran of the beer tastings, he'll be looking for his favorite Saturday. ``It's a very unusual beer called Lindeman's Lambic. It's an imported beer made by monks . . . .It tastes almost like a peach wine cooler.''
