Delores T. Cahoon was installed as president of the Isle of Wight-Smithfield-Windsor Chamber of Commerce at its annual membership dinner last week. She filled a seat vacated by Smithfield businessman Alan Monette.
Cahoon, an Isle of Wight County native, and her husband, Aubrey, own and operate Simpson's Pharmacy on Main Street, Smithfield. She manages the pharmacy's home heath division.
Cahoon is a past member of the Virginia Commission on Women and past president of the Woman's Club of Smithfield. She belongs to the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Smithfield.
Also, two new members have been elected to the chamber's board of directors: Oliver D. Creekmore, representing the Bank of Isle of Wight; and N.F. ``Pete'' Carr, representing Farmer's bank in Smithfield. by CNB
