Elizabeth Floyd Broda, 69, of the 3800 block of Kingman Ave., died July 25, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth and was a charter member of West Side Christian Church, a member of Westhaven Neighborly Club, and several church groups. She was a graduate of King's Daughters School of Nursing and was a retired nurse for the Portsmouth School System.
She is survived by her two sons, Raymond L. Broda Jr. of Portsmouth, and Clyde F. Broda and his wife Allison R. Broda, also of Portsmouth; two sisters, Lillian F. Gilbert of Sharon, Pa., and Ann F. Riley of Port Orchard, Wa.; one brother, Ernest F. Floyd Jr. of Portmouth; two grandchildren, Russell C. Broda and Heather L. Casto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Frisbie and Julia Combs Floyd, and her husband, Raymond Lee Broda Sr.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Kenneth W. Bryant. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to West Side Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
