Nansemond-Suffolk Academy was recognized as the top fund-raising school in Hampton Roads in the ReadaThon, sponsored by the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
N-SA students in grades K through 7 raised $3,671.54, reading 1,445 books. The school finished second in the total number of books read.
As the top fund-raising school, N-SA will receive a complete set of Colliers Encyclopedias and a 2XL Robot from Tiger Electronics. All participants will be treated to an ice cream party, courtesy of Pet Dairy, as well as passes for miniature golf, courtesy of Putt-Putt Golf & Games.
