Norman Etheredge ``Ham'' Hamilton, 64, died Saturday, July 8, 1995, in Florida.
Mr. Hamilton, a native of Portsmouth, was a longtime member of the Portsmouth Boat Club and Portsmouth B.P.O. Elks 82 prior to his moving to Florida, where he lived for 35 years. He was the grandson of Norman R. Hamilton, former owner of the Portsmouth Star newspaper.
He is survived by his wife, Millicent Hamilton; five children, Norman Hamilton, Patricia Hamilton, Frederick Hamilton III, Douglas Hamilton, and Jeri Adams; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 12, 1995 in North Fort Myers. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Information provided by Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Va.
