Annie Elizabeth Simmons, 81, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, at her home.
She was born in Norfolk and had been a Peninsula resident since 1979 coming from Virginia Beach. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Denbigh Congregation.
She was the widow of her beloved husband, Clifford W. Simmons, and is survived by two daughters, Betty Martin and Connie Berry; and one granddaughter, Beth Berry, all of Newport News.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 345 Green Meadows Drive, Newport News, by Jerrold Housner. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private. Weymouth Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
