Eric Leroy Freeman, 19, a native of Bertie County, died Sunday, July 23, 1995, in Rural Geary County, Kan.
PFC Freeman was stationed in Fort Riley, Kan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powellsville.
Survivors include his mother, Idonia Freeman; his father, Raymond Freeman; two brothers, Raymond Freeman Jr., and Kevin Freeman, all of Powellsville; three sisters, Joyce Jenkins of Ahoskie, Lenise Freeman and Amanda Freeman of Chesapeake, Va.; a grandfather, James Freeman of Powellsville; six aunts, four uncles, five great-aunts, four nephews, two nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Powellsville by the Rev. Donald Coley. Interment is in the Holly Family Cemetery, Cofield, N.C. Hertford County Undertakers of Winton, N.C., is handling the arrangements.
