Barbara Brown ``Link'' Thompson, of the 2700 block of Stanhope Ave., died July 25, 1995.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Hickory, Va. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Willow Grove Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Edward Thompson Sr.; three sons, Paul E. Thompson Jr. of Chesapeake, Timothy T. Thompson of Hampton, Va., and Darryl F. Thompson of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters, Cecilia B. Perkins, Georgia B. Welch, both of Chesapeake, Mable B. Hines of Norfolk and Dorothy B. McCoy of Virginia Beach, Va.; five brothers, James H. Brown of Virginia Beach, Jasper A. Brown of Norfolk, Luke M. Brown, Charlie C. Brown, Willie C. Brown, all of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Briannah D. Thompson, Brandi A. Thompson, Darryl F. Thompson II and David A. Thompson, all of Greensboro, N.C.; and one-daughter-in-law, Tara C. Thompson of Greensboro, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret W. and Elijah F. Brown.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Kelvin White in New Willow Grove Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at her residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
