600 block of Broad St. - 26-year-old man said beaten and robbed about 2 a.m. July 17. Victim taken to Maryview Medical Center.
ROBBERIES
3400 block of Hartford St. - Police said suspect pursued by officer about 8:30 p.m. July 14 stopped car and tried to pull driver out, then jumped in back seat and yelled at driver to go. Officer ordered suspect out of car at gunpoint, but suspect knocked him down and ran behind store. Large crowd interfered with arrest and threw objects at officer. Officer heard one shot, but apprehended suspect and held crowd at bay with gun until backup arrived.
1100 block of County St. - 26-year-old man said robbed about 2 a.m. July 19.
3100 block of High St. - 79-year-old woman said man in parking lot demanded car keys and told her to get out of car. Victim blew her horn and struggled with suspect until he grabbed her ankles and pulled her out. Victim taken to Maryview Medical Center for treatment.
1300 block of Green St. - 26-year-old man said robbed at gunpoint about 11 p.m. July 21.
