CECIL B. CRAWFORD

Cecil B. Crawford, 51, of the 2900 block of Peronne Ave., passed away on July 25, 1995.

He was born in Louisville, Ky., on May 30, 1944, to Floyd W. Crawford and Myrtle B. Crawford. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Norfolk until his death. His parents served Norfolk State as professors of history and secondary education methods respectively before retirement.

Cecil, their only child, attended elementary school in Louisville. When the family moved to Norfolk, he attended Jacox Junior High, Booker T. Washington High, and Norfolk State University. He was a prolific reader, enjoying classical literature, medical news and current events.

Survivors include his mother, Myrtle B. Crawford; an aunt, Helen Robinson of New York City; and several cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Covenant Presbyterian Church by Dr. Octavius A. Gaba, Pastor. The internment will take place immediately following the funeral at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
