President Clinton's decision to continue affirmative action will probably cost him the presidency in 1996.
Common sense should have told him that the only consideration for a job should be merit.
Affirmative action tends to displace personal initiative, causing some minorities to conclude, Why bother to study required job skills when big brother in Washington, D.C., will allow minority status to be substituted for skills necessary to compete in today's real world.
Is this fair to all Americans?
