Thomas H. Atkins Sr., 70, of the first block of Sullivan Court, died July 26, 1995, in the VA Hospital in Hampton.
He was a native of Richmond, Va., and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association (NU)257, Disabled American Veterans (NU)27, Club (NU)20, and he served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel E. Atkins; one son, Thomas H. Atkins Jr.; and two sisters, Ruth Carter and Elizabeth Brown.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. James Episcopal Church by the Rev. Jesse London. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
