Arthur Edwin Cobb, of Norfolk and Wachapreague, age 76, was the husband of Katherine ``Kay'' Lawrence Cobb. He passed away Thursday morning, July 27, 1995, at his native home in Wachapreague.
He was born in Oyster, Va., and was the son of the late Warren Burr Cobb and Addie Burton Cobb. He was a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church, and was a Navy veteran of World War II, and the Korea and Vietnam conflicts with 30 years of service. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer W-4. He was a member of Ocean Lodge (NU)116, A.F. and A.M., Khedive Temple Shrine and Legion of Honor and was a life member and past commander of VFW Post (NU)3160 in Norfolk. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Unit (NU)60 in Norfolk, the Moose Lodge in Exmore, and the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Lucille Cobb of Chincoteague; a niece, Debra Cobb of Virginia Beach; and a cousin, Ann Cobb of Forster.
Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside at Cape Charles Cemetery at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 1995, by the Rev. Ned Van-Dyck and the Rev. Bill Edmonson. The Ocean Lodge (NU)116 will conduct Masonic Rites at the Cemetery.
Memorial donations should go to Ocean View United Methodist Church, c/o Fern Ward, P.O. Box 132, Wachapreague, Va., or to the ARC of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, P.O. Box 40, Bellhaven, Va. The family will receive friends at Lilliston Funeral Chapel in Accomack tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
