VIRGINIA BEACH MAN ARRESTED IN STRING OF 7 HEISTS IN 7 DAYS

Police on Friday reported the arrest of a Virginia Beach man in connection with a series of robberies.

Leonard Singleton, 28, was arrested without incident in the 2300 block of E. Princess Anne Road Wednesday night, police spokesman Larry Hill said.

Investigators spotted his vehicle after a robbery was reported at the Miller Mart in the 3500 block of E. Princess Anne Road earlier in the evening Wednesday.

Singleton, of the 1300 block of White Pine Court, was charged with robbing these Norfolk businesses:

Miller Mart in the 3500 block of E. Princess Anne Road on Wednesday.

Rack Room in the 400 block of N. Military Highway on Wednesday.

Econo Lodge in the 800 block of N. Military Highway on Wednesday.

7-Eleven in the 1500 block of E. Little Creek Road on Tuesday.

McDonald's in the 8400 block of Tidewater Drive on Monday.

Tinee Giant in the 4000 block of Granby Street on Sunday.

7-Eleven in the 100 block of W. Little Creek Road on July 20.

Other charges are pending in Virginia Beach, Hill said. Singleton was being held in Norfolk City Jail.
