A Miss Maryland judge said he was told not to give high scores to the eventual first runner-up because pageant officials had questions over her eligibility.
Before the contest ended, all five judges knew of the eligibility flap surrounding Linda Yueh, who claims the contest was fixed so she couldn't be crowned, The (Hagerstown) Morning Herald reported.
``This definitely affected the outcome of the pageant,'' said judge David Kendall.
Last week, Miss Virginia officials stripped Andrea Ballengee of her title after she claimed to be a first-year law student and exaggerated other academic accomplishments.
