Christopher A. Hayzlip, 36, of the 700 block of Houston Ave., died July 23, 1995.
He was a native of Denver, Colo., and a Ships Serviceman First Class with the United States Navy. He was assigned to the Navy Exchange Service Command's Ships Store Division at the Norfolk Naval Station, serving on special projects.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jo Hayzlip; one daughter, Tammy Jo Hayzlip; five sons, Randy J. Hayzlip, Simon Hayzlip, Elisha Hayzlip, all of Hampton, and Christopher Hayzlip and Joshua Hayzlip of Florida; his mother, Alice Martina Hayzlip; two brothers, Elmer Hayzlip and Sam Hayzlip; and three sisters, Edna Ellis, Kathy Ramirez of Longmont, Colo., and Debbie Perez of Denver, Colo.
A memorial service will be held at the Norfolk Naval Station Base Chapel on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at 3 p.m. He will be buried at sea at a later date. Flowers may be sent to the home.
