Regarding ``Helms is right about AIDS funding'' (letter, July 20): The letter writer considers those who contract AIDS from homosexual relations or from intravenous drug use ``responsible for their disease'' by their ``deliberate, disgusting and revolting conduct'' and therefore unworthy of governmental support.
How does he feel about two-pack-a-day smokers who develop lung cancer, overeaters who develop heart disease or alcoholics who develop liver problems? Are they also unworthy of governmental support?
