PHILIP BRODIE

Philip Brodie, 74, died July 28, 1995, in his home.

He was a native of Portsmouth; owner of Philip Brodie Furniture Co. Inc., a Portsmouth trademark for more than 50 years; and a member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue. Mr. Brodie was devoted to his family and friends, and was a source of strength to them all.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Lee Brodie; two sons, Sanford Lee Mason of Portsmouth and Conrad Jeffery Brodie of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mary Brodie and Freda Kocen, both of Portsmouth; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Boone of Portsmouth.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Gomley Chesed Cemetery by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to Gomley Chesed Synagogue or the American Cancer Society.
