Alvin Haynes, of the 800 block of Charlotte St., died July 28, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Haynes was born in Norfolk and was a member of C.H. Mason COGIC, Norfolk. Alvin was preceded in death by his father, Willis L. Haynes, and his brother, Joseph S. Haynes.
Survivors include his wife, Evalena Haynes; a daughter, Nicole Ford of Norfolk; two sons, Michael Ford and Kenneth Ford, both of Norfolk; his mother, Bertha Lamb Haynes; two sisters, Barbara Haynes Lovelace of Virginia Beach and Delores Haynes Wiley of Chesapeake; and a brother, Leroy Elwood Haynes of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in C.H. Mason COGIC by the Rev. David Williams. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 3118 McDonald Road, Virginia Beach, the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
