Willie Woodrow Daniels, 81, of the 3500 block of Old Carolina Road, died Sunday, July 30, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Daniels was born in Fairfield, N.C., and was the son of the late Joseph and Nannie Cuthrell Daniels. He was retired from the Public Works Department of the City of Chesapeake. Mr. Daniels was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Adele Jasonis Daniels; a son, Vernon Edward Daniels of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Riegels and Joan Zellner, both of Tampa, Fla.; two stepsons, Michael Suda of Asheville, N.C., and Stanley Suda of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Edith Dean of Norfolk and Marie Coulter of Falls Church; one brother, Thomas C. Daniels of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ralph Horn. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
