A.D. BRINKLEY JR.

Abram Daniel "A.D." Brinkley Jr., 83, died July 31, 1995, in Hillhaven Nursing Home.

A native of Suffolk, he was the son of Abram D. Brinkley and Rosa Ellis Brinkley and the widower of Marion B. Brinkley. Mr. Brinkley was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of the Legion and the Suffolk Christian Church. He was a retired route salesman for Home Laundry.

Survivors include his daughter, Virginia B. Harrell and son-in-law, Randy M. Harrell of Elizabeth City; a grandson, Randolph Mark Harrell of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Alton Lee Brinkley of Richmond; and three nieces.

Graveside services will be conducted noon today in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Vance Mann. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 213 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
