LISA REVAK MRS. VIRGINIA BEACH IS A MATCHMAKER FOR SINGLES.

Lisa Revak's a matchmaker and when she hits a strike there's a flame - a romantic one.

Lisa is founder of Single Affairs, a club where single people can meet other single people.

Although happily married - in fact she wears the Mrs. Virginia Beach crown - she got the idea for such a group from her mother, a single parent. ``It was a struggle for her to find a social life,'' says Lisa. After the kids grow up, it's tough to find places to go to meet people. ``I thought, gee, there must really be a need for something like this.''

The group, which has its first anniversary next week, holds dances and get-togethers regularly, and has had several success stories (make that weddings), Lisa boasts.

Full name: Lisa Katherine Revak.

Hometown: Clarksboro, N.J. (exit 2).

What brought you to the Beach? The U.S. Navy. My husband is a lieutenant.

Birthdate: March 21, 1966.

Occupation: Founder/owner of Single Affairs, a singles club that mixes singles together at weekly dances and events, making friendships, love and hopefully marriages happen.

Nickname: Confidential.

Marital status: Happily married for seven exciting years.

Children: Elisabeth, 4, and Anthony, 2.

What is your idea of a perfect day off? Going out for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the beach and playing in the sand with my family while a maid is at my house doing all the laundry and housecleaning.

Last smart thing you did: Broke off a business partnership and developed my own singles club and hiring James Fanning as our exclusive disc jockey. He's the best.

Last dumb thing you did: Fell backward into my kids' swimming pool while mowing my lawn.

Favorite meal: Anything Italian. Love eggplant parmigiana, all kinds of pasta and especially Italian rum cake.

Favorite movies: ``Only You,'' ``Once Around,'' ``My Cousin Vinny'' and ``My Life.''

Favorite song: ``Have you Ever Really Loved a Woman?'' by Bryan Adams and ``One Moment in Time'' by Whitney Houston.

Hobbies: My latest? Potty training my 2-year-old. It's very exciting.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Nothing. Yes, there are times when I can be outspoken and aggressive and sometimes I'll think that I need to change that part of me, but I believe these characteristics help me to obtain the happiness and success that I have in my life.

If you could change one thing about your spouse, what would it be? Nothing. He is my opposite, always does things by the book, is very calm and quiet and that drives me crazy. But I believe he causes a balance in my life and helps me to think before I react. He is also the most supportive, handsome and devoted husband and father a woman could ask for.

Secret vice: A REAL Philly cheese steak with fried onions and a side of cheese fries!

Last book read: ``Embraced by the Light.''

Favorite restaurant: Le Chambord, Bella Monte and Aldo's

Your favorite night on the town: My favorite night on the town is being at my own singles' club with all the members of Single Affairs who have come be great friends to my husband and me. They are a blast and certainly know how to have a great time.

Favorite sport: Cow tipping. It's not just a sport, it's an adventure.

Favorite TV shows: ``Melrose Place.''

Pets: Our dog, Shelby, our cat, Sadie, and our bird, Tweety.

Last vacation: Do you mean a real vacation or the kind that you pile all the kids in a mini-van and drive until you're all screaming at each other? My last real vacation was a romantic week in Bermuda with my husband. My last family vacation was a trip to Busch Gardens. Yahoo.

Worst job: Being a sales director for a cosmetics company and teaching ladies how to facial themselves.

Of what achievements are you most proud? Being selected to represent the city as Mrs. Virginia Beach, being responsible for four weddings of people who met through Single Affairs and earning a black belt in karate at 16. But the greatest achievement is giving birth to my two children.

What would you like as your epitaph? A loving mother, wife, friend and matchmaker who spread goodwill, laughter and love to those who knew her. ILLUSTRATION: Staff photo by DAVID B. HOLLINGSWORTH
