Maurice Mantel, 71, formerly of Virginia Beach, died July 31, 1995, in Marina Del Rey, Calif.
He was the beloved husband of Kathy and loving father of Andrea.
He worked as an aeronautical engineer for 35 years with Rockwell International, as an instructor at Northrup University, and manager of Cavilier Aviation. He was also the personal private pilot for Muhammed Ali. He was Jewish by faith.
Graveside services will be at the B'Nai Israel Cemetery of Norfolk at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, 1995. Officiating will be Rabbi Bornstein of B'Nai Israel Temple. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
