JAMES R. LUCK SR.

James Raymond ``Buddy'' Luck Sr., 74, of the 1800 block of Redgate Dr., died August 1, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

He was a native of Norfolk, Va., and was a retired auto parts salesman. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a former member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Grace E. Luck; two sons, James R. Luck Jr. of Florida and Leon Dale Luck of Chesapeake, Va.; three sisters, Mildred Jackson of Portsmouth, Winafred Mullen Jones of California, and Thelma Creecy of Florida; one brother, Michael Kanash of Florida; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 1995, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ronald H. Jones Sr. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
