MAGGIE D. TATE

Maggie D. Tate, 75, of the 300 block of Reilly St., died July 30, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a retired clerk of Williams Grocery with 20 years of service. She was born in Edgecomb County, N.C., and was the widower of Robert Tate. She was a former member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three sisters, Annie M. Pettaway of Hampton, Mary M. Lee of Norfolk, and Dorothy Dupree, of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, Ronald Barnes of Norfolk, and John Henry Barnes of Pine Top, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie D. and Will Barnes.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Anthony Moses in Hale Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Cemetery. The family will assemble at 1049 Holt St.
