The body of a gunshot victim was discovered Tuesday afternoon at a townhouse on Saxony Place. Police are calling it the city's 11th homicide of 1995.
Donnie Moore, police spokesman, said identification of the body is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Police discovered the body at 18 Saxony Place at 3:24 p.m. They had entered the townhouse through an unlocked rear door after being alerted by a family member who could not get a response from inside the townhouse. The body was found in an upstairs bedroom.
An autopsy was ordered. Police had no comment on motive or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call 727-6111.
